Another new blog: Web Dawn

I have started yet another new blog, Web Dawn - Rebirth of the Social Marketplace. Inspired by The Cluetrain Manifesto, the blog is about the power of the Web to radically change society, and how we conduct business. Blogging is part of that change, and the following example illustrates that. The blog went live last night, and by this morning, Doc Searls, one of the authors of Cluetrain, found my blog through a great service called Technorati, and mentioned it in a post to his blog this morning! The web can (and will) continue to enable such communication and conversation, the kind we really haven't known in our lifetimes. If you haven't heard of Cluetrain, buy the book, and get a clue.  5/08/2003 02:04:00 p.m.

New: Media Blog and Quote Blog

I have recently started two new blogs (in addition to this one). The blogs are powered by Blogger and have their own URLs. The Quote Blog (http://quote-blog.blogspot.com) is a replacement to the Quotes section of Markcarey.com that never really got started. From time to time, I will post quotes from famous and not-so-famous people, along with links to the sources, when appropriate. The Media Blog (http://media-blog.blogspot.com) is more serious, includes my thoughts on objectivity (the lack of it) in the news media. Both blogs currently follow the design of MarkCarey.com, but I am thinking about creating independent designs for each (though there will always be links to them from MarkCarey.com.  4/25/2003 04:46:00 p.m.

New Home Page Format

I have decided to redesign the home page of my web site into a blog format. The old format for the home page never really had much content anyway. Basically I just updated it whenever I changed the design of the site. With the new format, I will be posting random comments and thoughts, more-or-less frequently. It won't be limited to any particular topics, just whatever is on my mind or what ever I feel like saying.  4/22/2003 11:29:00 a.m.
